Portraits & Events
People feature everywhere in photographs, be it a portrait or an event. An event for me is anything where people gather, such as a wedding, sporting event or even a demonstration. Over the years I have taken pictures at many events and here are a sample.
They eyes have it. We spend much of our time with the ones we love looking into their eyes, this image of Cindy say's it all to me.
Portraits don't have to be static - a bit of action conveys the fun these two are having
It's that moment in a wedding when the groom just....
Cousins.
Food images - an area I want to invest more time in. Just the colour and texture offers so much to the lens.
Wedding - the hour before
Now you see it and now you don't - capturing the moment of anticipation
Wedding kisses are a common shot, I took a gamble on this one and decided to capture the guests and their emotions just at the point when..
Every best man goes through it
Just love the suspended animation in this
My eldest son in for the tackle - football offers such action to capture
That moment when a player calculates the right angle and shot for goal
Not sure how this came about, it looks more like an album cover or a film title
Portraits offer a multitude of angles
Back in the day I did a lot of motorsport, the speed offered real challenges, this was just as digital cameras were emerging and you could not waste film
One of my favourite riders Pierre Francesco Chili - always a real gent
Carl Fogerty - much of the time he either totally blanked me in the pits, or gave me that stare ti F off, but that was just his pure focus. Met him many times and he was another nice guy. Pure pro.
Love Ducati's and the twin pipes are iconic and this shot just offered me so much to capture
The Long walk - which when I raced I did often
The Petronas Superbike was just a stunning bike to look at and very theatrical when the rider throttled off!
It is all about the angle
Two of my then favourite riders. James Toseland 52 is a talented pianist
The Stretch
Barry Sheene's No 7 bike - a real honour for me that day
The icons Ducati
Just loved the angles foreground and background
