Landscapes, Macro & Experimental
It is that feeling you have when you visit a special place, see a special something that you never want to leave and in that moment of inspiration you click the shutter and….
Fisherman's hut - it was that really cold November 2020, when the light fades and the colours reflect late autumn reds, Just a magical moment in a magical place that we stayed in.
Earth's Coral Reef - This picture was taken with the camera set on a tripod but pointing downwards as if looking down at seabed. It just stuck me that the the two are similar, with the been swimming around the flowers.
For some reason the local authority decided to add glass inserts into a wall facing the beach, clearly someone saw this as an opportunity to 'redesign' the clear glass into fragments (AKA Vandalised ) BUT the light is fragmented through is just fascinating.
Frozen VW Polo Roof - the amazing world of a macro lens!
Not much going on in Winter, just a few remaining leaves hanging around.
Drones offer a really interesting perspective and provide angles otherwise impossible.
The angle a drone gets is just so frustrating, why? Because I need to tie my full frame camera to it as the drone images just need some more oomph
A bright, cold winters morning and this tiny leaf sparkled. This was shot with the Sony 90mm F2.8 Macro.
I have a feeling Cindy took this one, it was a hot summer evening and the trees and sky looked life an African safari - not Kent, UK!
Difficult picture to take. Using the Sony Macro 90mm and ideally you want complete stillness and little movement, but bee's move a lot - so a fast shutter speed at the sacrifice of detail.
Sony 90mm Macro image - picture tells it's own story - ver to you nature!
Surreal bonnet of VW Polo - Macro mania
Sony 90mm macro shot, it was dark and a torch was used to create the odd lighting effect around the spider.
Another 90mm Sony macro image - this was the tiniest snail, must have been about 15mm in length - stunning colours.
Sigma 35mm F1.4 art lens - sunlight silhouettes through
A late evening at sunset, crazy shadows and I was just blown away when I took the drone up and looked down on the camera view - drones really add some amazing perspectives
Sony 24-105 F4 - Seaford Golf course in Winter - reminded me of a Lowry painting.
Love them or not Spiders are just so creative - just look at that weaving skill! Sony 90mm F2.8 Macro
Sony 24mm F1.4 - very slow shutter speed, ND filter - just created a lovely cloud texture in the sea and a lovely sea texture in the clouds.
On a Safari (I Wish!!) We took the family to Howletts Zoo - I took the Sony 100-400mm. Just love B&W for contrast and texture
